Resolved Question: Hiking group in Ridgecrest, Ca?

I am trying to find a good group of people to go hiking with in Ridgecrest, since my husband really doesn't enjoy it, and I'd like to hike more. I know the Sierra Nevadas nearby have lots of great hiking, but it's not safe to go alone, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a hiking club.
